La Canada

 

The first public golf course on the Costa del Sol, La Canada was designed by Dave Thomas (first 9 holes) and Robert Trent Jones (second 9 holes).  Robert Trent jones also designed the neighbouring courses of Valderrama and Real Club de Golf Sotogrande.

 

The course offers a pleasant and varied round with stunnign views.  The terrain is not flat but the slopes are gentle so buggies are not a necessity.  Well known for its excellently maintained greens and the gully (Canada) on the 18th which gives the course its name.
